To make bike-sharing an integral part of public transportation in as many cities as possible all over the globe is our mission and it is what drives us every day.
That is why we are shocked and saddened to see our KVB bikes being destroyed systematically. Attacks and vandalism on the KVB bikes have increased significantly in the past days. Therefore, we had to restrict our operating areas in Cologne in order to protect the remaining fleet. For now, bikes are available for users exclusively in the flex zone and the inner city rings.
This is a temporary step that affects us as much as it affects you. We are working hard to find a solution and have involved the police as well as various other partners. But we also need your help: If you find damaged bikes or witness acts of vandalism on the KVB bikes, please inform the police, take pictures and send an email with the location and bike number of the bike and the subject “Köln Vandalismus” to: lostandfound@nextbike.com.
Thank you for your understanding and help!
