Adjustment of the flexzone

Dear KVB-Rad cyclists, The city of Cologne is still trying to implement a new concept for the use of parking space, especially for micromobility. The use of space at accident blackspots and busy squares is to be reorganized. In the course of this, we have to remove two more spaces from our flex zone. Starting tomorrow, please do not return your bikes directly on Ottoplatz in Deutz and between Wiener Platz and Stadthalle Köln in Mülheim.  Area Ottoplatz Area Mülheim T...

Station in Wahn deactivated

Dear KVB-Rad cyclists, due to construction work we have to deactivate the station "Vor den Feldern/Im Bodesfeld" in Wahn temporarily. Due to local conditions, we are unfortunately unable to set up a temporary alternative station.  We ask for your understanding.

Another flexzone adjustment

Dear KVB-Rad peeps, The Christmas market season is almost over. The no return zones that we set up for the city of Cologne will be mostly reincorporated into the Flexzone as of December 24. However, there will also be temporary exclusion zones over New Year's Eve. In addition, we will have to permanently remove some areas from the flexzone. Three new stations have been set up at Breslauer Platz for this purpose. Below you can see an overview of the New Year's Eve restricted zones as ...

Changes in the flexzone

Dear users, we had to slightly adjust the flexzone in Bilderstöckchen close to Blücherpark. Please do not return your bikes in the blue marked section anymore. Thank you for your understanding, your KVB-Rad Team

Together against vandalism

To make bike-sharing an integral part of public transportation in as many cities as possible all over the globe is our mission and it is what drives us every day.  That is why we are shocked and saddened to see our KVB bikes being destroyed systematically. Attacks and vandalism on the KVB bikes have increased significantly in the past days. Therefore, we had to restrict our operating areas in Cologne in order to protect the remaining fleet. For now, bikes are available for users exclusive...

New update on the current situation

Lately we're dealing with a vast amount of blind destruction of our bikes. The vandalism on our bikes has reached a critical level, and we have to realize that the public safety for our bikes is no longer given. We had to limit the service area temporarily to ensure an acceptable service and to avoid long, time-consuming ways. Our service team is working around the clock and is at its limit. We hope to restore the usual availability as soon as possible. Thank you for your understan...

Vandalism in Cologne

Due to a significant increase in attacks and vandalism, our Cologne KVB bikes currently have a restricted operating area. This step is not easy for us, but it is, unfortunately, necessary in order to counteract the growing problem. As of now, bikes will only be available for users exclusively in the flex zone and the inner city rings. KVB bikes can only be returned in this area.  We are working hard to find a solution and have involved the police as well as various other partners. But we a...

Change in annual subscription conditions

We would like to inform you that annual sunscriptions of German nextbike systems will no longer be automatically extended by another year in the future. This is our reaction to the amendment of Art. 1 No. 2 of the Fair Consumer Contracts Act of August 10, 2021, according to which a tacit contract extension is only possible to a limited extent. The changes apply to all current as well as newly booked annual subscriptions for German nextbike systems. You can view and change tariffs...

Please continue to make sure that the bikes are placed in a way that they do not obstruct anyone. Thank you for your understanding and a Merry Christmas from KVB and nextbike.
