The Basque metropolis Bilbao just got another sustainable public transport system. In the very north of Spain we - together with the transport company Sagalés - launched our currently biggest e-bike scheme Bilbaobizi which provides 450 e-bikes at 40 stations.In 2019 nextbike will further realize e-bike schemes in Germany and internationaly.
Together with the Student Union of the University of Hamm-Lippstadt we get those two cities on the bike. Especially around student hotspots but also around the city you can now rent and return bikes at official stations. Students get the first 60 minutes for free. How? Check it out.
Yesterday our new scheme started in Bonn. Over the next few weeks, 300 bikes will be made available at 20 stations. The fleet is to be expanded to 900 bikes with 7-speed gears at 100 stations, making it one of the five largest systems in Germany. Also in Bonn there will be, like already in Berlin or Cologne, a Flexzone. In October all users cycle the first 30 minutes per day free of charge. MVG-Rad keep rolling! The bike sharing system of the Munich public transport company MVG is operated by nextbike and can score yet another success.After recently being commissioned to expand the scheme by 2000 bikes and the administrative district of Munich we are now able to record the millionth rental as well a the 100.000. customer. We can't wait to see what else this year might bring.
For those who remember: In fall 2017 we brought a huge fleet of bikes to Bonn already. Not for the public these days but for the participants of the United Nations Climate Change Conference. We received a lot of positive feedback from Bonn's citizens and quite a few sad reactions when we removed the fleet again. But now we're coming back - and this time we will stay! In fall we will launch our bike sharing system with 900 bikes and a mixed system of stations and flex zones.Stay tuned!
On monday, June 19th, we launched a new bike sharing system in cooperation with WESER KURIER in Bremen. Initially there are 325 bikes available at 43 stations. Later we will expand the system by another 125 bikes. Get more information about WK-Bike on wk-bike.de.
On sunday our SmartBike bike sharing scheme was opened in New Delhi by India's Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and present Miss World Manushi Chhillar during the Wold Bicycle Day ceremony.
After installing two KVB-Rad stations infront of the university library and the Faculty of Human Sciences (Herbert-Lewin-Straße) a third one was installed on the Uni-Boulevard infront of the students service.
Three years ago we together with the Cologne public transport company KVB launched the KVB-Rad. Many events could be chalked up as a success since then. We enlarged the flex zone, had 2,1 Mio rentals and a rental record already in April this year. We're anxious to see what's to come.

While the German winter does its best to keep us cold you can now enjoy the nextbike feeling in just another much warmer region of the earth. Together with Smartbike Mobility and the Hyderabad Bicycling Club we just launches a scheme in India's metropolis Hyderabad. Further projects in India are already in the pipeline.

Since we launched the KVB-Rad in Cologne in 2015 we can record nearly 1,2 million rentals spread over 1.450 bikes. To the 55.000 Cologne customers it does not seem to matter whether it's warm and sunny or cold and rainy - rentals per day nearly stay the same.On May 17th this year we were able to record over 5.000 rentals in one day for the first time. In average our bikes are rented about 3.000 to 3.700 times a day. Recently also the trams carry advertisments for our bikes.

Since 2012 nextbike Polska on behalf of the City of Warsaw has successfully been providing the bike sharing scheme Veturilo. Due to high demand the city had put an expansion out for tender which nextbike won again. With the start in the new season Veturilo has now 4700 bikes, e-bikes and kids‘ bikes which are available at 300 rental stations. Currently Veturilo is the biggest international nextbike scheme. Right now nextbike is setting up a new bike sharing scheme in Berlin with 5000 bikes at 70...
